the book jiřina žertová: not only glass is the first and only monograph of the artist, which maps her lifelong work, more than 50 years of creative work in the field of studio glass. although jiřina žertová is a prominent figure in czech art glass, her work has not yet been mapped and published in any separate publication. it is therefore a fundamental book that has the ambition to fill this gap with dignity.
the editor of the book is klára jirková, the main accompanying text was written by sylva petrová, curator of the upm glass collection. the book also includes an interview between jiřina žertová and curator ján gajdušek. it contains over 200 photographs of the author’s objects, sketches and paintings, many of which have never been published before.
